29Rooms is an immersive world of cause, culture, and creativity brought to you by the makers behind Refinery29. Being a first-of-its-kind event, 29Rooms utilized the @29rooms Instagram account as the social hub of it all and the main tool of communication with customers. During my time as Senior Creative Social Strategist at Refinery29, I took on the task of launching and developing a platform strategy for the @29rooms Instagram account in 2015, which resulted in acquiring an audience of over 150k followers.

Covering a total of five 29Rooms events over three years, some of my responsibilities included:

  • Developing multiple social platform and live event coverage social strategies for branded and editorial content.
  • Collaborating with sales teams and clients to ideate and deliver branded content for both Refinery29-owned and client social platforms.
  • Working closely with talent teams to interview and take photos/videos of celebrity partners, such as Demi Lovato, Janelle Monáe, Lizzo, Jake Gyllenhaal, Yara Shahidi, Emma Roberts, Xavier Schipani, Margot Robbie, Jessica Alba, Kehlani, Alexa Meade, Juco Photo, and more.
  • Launching and developing social-first campaigns, hashtags, and activations around important brand moments.
  • Organizing and producing social-first influencer events to help maximize reach and awareness.
